Saturn's Hexagon

This is a powerful atmospheric phenomenon observed at Saturn's north pole. It consists of a hexagonal structure formed by cloud formations.

Key characteristics of a hexagonal storm:
1. Shape. As the name suggests, the storm’s structure forms a hexagon consisting of six equal sides and angles.
2. Size. The hexagonal storm is enormous, with a diameter of 25,000 kilometers. The storm’s straight “walls” extend deep into the atmosphere to a depth of up to 100 kilometers.
3. Stability. A remarkable feature of this storm is that it has remained relatively stationary at Saturn’s north pole for many years. The hexagon rotates counterclockwise at a speed of about 320 km/h
. 4. Bright clouds. The storm features bright clouds and very strong winds.
5. Longevity. The hexagonal storm has been observed since the 1980s and is believed to have existed for decades.
