Maho Beach (Maho Beach) is famous because it is right next to the airport runway, so planes taking off and landing fly just 10–20 meters above the heads of beachgoers. Because of this, the beach is particularly popular among plane spotters (people whose hobby is watching and photographing airplanes). The beach and the airport are separated by two fences and a narrow two-lane road.
