The "Huangtengxia Tianmen" Sky Bridge in China

By and large, the Huangtengxia Tianmen Sky Walk cannot strictly be called a bridge, since it does not allow pedestrians to cross to the other side of the deep gorge but instead ends in a glass observation deck unlike any other in the world.

The Huangtengxia Tianmen Sky Walk glass bridge resembles two giant tennis rackets positioned at a 90-degree angle to each other. The bridge’s cantilever-cable-stayed structure allowed the observation deck to be positioned 368 meters from the edge of the cliff, providing tourists with the best possible view of the picturesque Huangteng Gorge below.

It took 32 million pounds and 12 months to build this bridge in China. The Huangtengxia Tianmen Bridge can support a load of 400 metric tons. The bridge stands 500 meters high.
