Relationships Between Objects in the "Five Houses" Problem
In connection puzzles, there is one or more target objects—these can be from any category of objects in the puzzle and are chosen at the puzzle creator’s discretion. As a rule, these are the objects to which most of the descriptions in the puzzle refer. For example, in the puzzle mentioned above about the five houses, the target objects could be “house number” and “house color,” but the author chose to use the owners’ nationalities as the target objects instead.
There can be only one target object—which is also the answer to the task (the “Verbal Portrait” task)
The communication problems include a toggle switch for table view, allowing you to solve the problem in the table format that many people are familiar with.

How do I create communication tasks?

  1. Select "Create Post" from the user menu and go to the editor to create a new post.

  1. Click the "Add Widget" button and select "Task in Progress" from the list

  1. In the puzzle editor that opens, add the required number of target objects. For example, the nationalities of the homeowners (“British,” “Norwegian,” etc.) in the puzzle above.

  1. Add groups of objects (1). For example, the groups “House Color” and “Drink” in the puzzle above. In each group, add objects—instances of that group or attributes (2). For example, the attributes “Red,” “Blue,” etc., in the “House Color” group. Specify the correct relationships between the objects in the group and the target objects (3). For example, the object “Red” in the “House Color” group is related to the target object “British” in the puzzle about the five houses.

  1. Optionally, you can add one or more hints that can only be opened in sequence and assign a cost to each one (up to 5 coins per hint).
