The fennec fox is a small fox with large ears that lives in the deserts of North Africa. It is the national animal of Algeria.
The animal has no sweat glands, but it needs to cool its body somehow. Its large ears help it do just that. Interestingly, the animal’s ears cannot tolerate loud noises.
